Biography of Bipasha Basu

Bipasha Basu is one of the dominant actresses who appears in Hindi films. She is a model-turned-actress who has worked in Telugu, Bengali and Tamil language films. After a lot of considerations she finally decided to make her much awaited Bollywood Debut with a negative role in the film Ajnabee, opposite Akshay Kumar and also received Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She got recognition from films like Raaz and Jism. But with all the success coming along she had to face a lot of ups and downs in her career so far. Now she will be seen in Vikram Phadnis' debut film 'Nia'. 

Bipasha was born on January 7, 1979 in New Delhi to Hindu Bengali family. In her childhood days her family shifted to Calcutta. Coming form a strong educational background, she also focussed on her qualifications before being a part of film line. She has two sisters, Bidisha being the elder one and Bijoyeta is the younger one. Bipasha completed her schooling from Apeejay High School in Kolkata. She is fluent in Hindi, Telugu, English, and Bengali. In her childhood days she wanted to become a Doctor and had difeerent ambitions but ended up becoming Ford Supermodel of the World at the age of 17.

Bipasha Basu was dating Harman Baweja. from a long time and sources tell that they're done with their engagement and will soon tie the knot. But it's over for Bipasha and Harman. After dating each other for almost a year, Bipasha confirmed that she has now split from her beau, Harman Baweja. The duo had gone public about their relationship earlier this year. Unfortunately, the paradise was soon rocked with rumours of Harman's alleged dalliances with a foreign model and Bipasha's closeness to Karan Singh Grover.
