Biography of Ileana D’Cruz

Ileana D’Cruz is an Indian actress who appears in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films.Ileana was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra on 1 November,1987 as the second child to her parents Ronaldo and Samira. She has three siblings - older sister Farrah, younger brother Rhys and youngest sister Eileen. Ileana started her career as a model and did many photoshoots and fashion shows. She debuted in the Telugu film Devadasu in 2006. Her breakthrough came from her second Telgu film Pokiri (2006). In 2012, she made her debut in Bollywood with Barfi opposite Ranbir Kapoor. She was also seen in the movie Phata Poster Nikla Hero opposite Shahid Kapoor.

Ileana D'Cruz started modelling with Indian actor and model Marc Robinson. And her first portfolio was created in January 2003. She began gaining notice through photo shoots and ramp walks and her second portfolio was set up the following year, which landed her three advertisements from Electrolux, Emami Talc and Fair and Lovely. She debuted in the Telugu language film Devadasu in 2006 directed by Y.V.S. D'Cruz then made her Tamil film debut alongside Ravi Krishna in Kedi. 

D'Cruz's career took a turn for the better with the release of her well-received 2007 film Aata, opposite Siddharth. 

During the shoot of 'Phata Poster Nikla Hero', she was rumoured to be dating Shahid Kapoor. Now another man by the name of Andrew Kneebone came into the spotlight, who is a professional photographer from Australia. According to the sources, the two have been spotted together on several occasions and they are more than just friends. Reports suggests that they share a lot of common interests. It is not confirmed that the actress is dating the Australian lad. But she seems to have fallen for him, has taken him to her house for lunch and introduced him to her parents, who are said to have approved their friendship.
