Nadia Khan
is a Pakistani actress, presenter and producer. She is best known for Nadia
Khan show, a morning TV show.
Nadia Khan was
born in Pathan family of niazi tribe in Quetta, Pakistan on 22 May 1979 to
Aslam Khan and Tahira Khan. Her father is a retired Army Colonel while her
mother is a housewife. She has one brother and three sisters.She made her
television debut through NTM in 1996.
Nadia instantly became a household name in Pakistan due to her
spontaneous and witty personality. She then hosted a show called Daak Time with
Uncle Sargam which was popular among children PTV.
Nadia rose to fame for her spontaneous yet charming personality. She
left world of entertainment in the year 2000 when she got married at the age of
21, but made a comeback to acting in the year 2005 with an Eid Special Show in
which she acted opposite Ijaz Aslam and Sadia Imam. Nadia also appeared in a
ARY Digital soap called Koi To Ho in 2003.
Nadia later left the show to work as a host on ARY, then left it to work
on Geo TV. She quit GEO TV on September 30th, 2010 for better
opportunity elsewhere.
There were also segments on Islam, health and beauty, among others. Her
show was the highest-rated morning show in Pakistan.she is also a very good
house wife as well. Presently, she has resigned from geo tv, asking for a break
from morning shows, as they were turning monotonous and plans to bring a new
show to the country where ‘east shall meet the west’.
Nadia has won Masala Awards for Best TV Anchor for two consecutive years
2008 and 2009, beating out 5 other nominees from Zee TV, Sony TV, Star Plus and
rival morning show host Shaista Wahidi of ARY Digital. She has also won a best actress award for her
hit PTV Drama serial Bandha(1998).
